

Marc Whitt is Director of Media & Strategic Relations at the University of Kentucky Office of Public Relations and Strategic Communications. He also serves as a part-time instructor in UK's Department of Integrated Strategic Communication and is a former PR and marketing columnist for the national trade magazine, University Business. Marc is the author of the critically-acclaimed book, 'PR Lessons Learned Along the Way: Strategies, Tips & Advice for the Higher Ed and Nonprofit Public Relations Professional' (Cherrymoon Media, May 2020). Since its release, the book has been named a "recommended read" by PRCA, was the #1 new PR book release on Amazon (June 2020), and has received nine editorial recognitions from BookAuthority, most notably: “Best New PR Books to Read in 2020 and 2021”; "100 Best PR Books of All Time"; and "Best PR Books for Beginners". It’s also been named “The Best New PR Book to Read in 2021” by ‘PR Intelligence.’ Marc is a frequent presenter having addressed such organizations as the American Association of State Colleges & Universities, International Town & Gown Association, Council for Advancement & Support of Education and Brazil's International Higher Education Marketing Institute. Recently Onalytica, a British-based marketing research firm that identifies social influencers, named Marc among the "Top 100 Public Relations Influencers on Twitter;" he was ranked 21st.
