Wesley Lowery delivers the first ever Angelo B. Henderson Lecture
Wesley Lowery is a nationally renowned journalist and book author specializing in the coverage of diversity, race, crime, urban, and political issues. Now a reporter for CBS News, he was previously at the The Washington Post, where his work on the “Fatal Force” project on police shootings helped the Post win the Pulitzer Prize for national reporting in 2016. He previously reported for the Boston Globe and Los Angeles Times. His work also has appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Detroit News, The Atlantic, and GQ Magazine.
His award-winning book "‘They Can't Kill Us All’: Ferguson, Baltimore, and a New Era in America's Racial Justice Movement" was published in 2016 when he was 26 years old.
Among his many awards, the National Association of Black Journalists named him Emerging Journalist of the Year in 2014. Lowery earned his B.S. in journalism from Ohio University 2017.
