Dr. Spencer Greenhalgh, assistant professor of information communication technology (ICT) published a new study titled, “Tweet, and We Shall Find: Using Digital Methods to Locate Participants in Educational Hashtags,” in Tech Trends, a publication of the Association for Educational Communications & Technology (AECT). 

The study explores geographical issues in educational Twitter research using human coding, machine coding, and GPS coding. In the study, researchers share insights and discuss considerations for using geolocation and other digital methods in educational research.
