Learn about RQDA and qualitative data analysis with Dr. Burns

From the UK ALA Student Chapter:  Learn about RQDA and qualitative data analysis!

Professor Sean Burns will present an informal demonstration of RQDA, a software package for qualitative data analysis incorporating R, on Tuesday, February 16 at 6:00 PM Eastern in Little Library Room 303. Distance students can access the talk via this link as a guest:  https: connect.uky.edu/lisso. Thanks to LISSO for the use of its Adobe Connect Room.

All students and faculty are welcome - come to hear more about an increasingly important research methodology for LIS practitioners. RQDA represents an intriguing bridge between more traditional qualitative and quantitative research approaches. Even if you are not anticipating a career path that will require you to do research personally, remember that prospective employers in many different kinds of LIS professions look favorably upon applicants who are conversant with different research methods. Data science and management will be important parts of the future of library services, so prospective librarians should be familiar with up-and-coming tools.
