Nelson, Neltner named 2016 KASL Award Winners

Two of the winners named for the 2016 Kentucky Association of School Librarians (KASL) Awards were members of the School of Information Science family. 

Rebecca "Becky" Nelson, who received her rank one certification at University of Kentucky and who currently teaches the LIS 510 Children's Literature and Related Materials course part-time at UK was award the Barby Hardy Lifetime Achievement Award. Heidi Neltner, Fort Thomas Independent School's  Instructional Technology Specialist, was awarded the Outstanding School Media Librarian Award. Neltner has also taught part-time at UK for the Library Science graduate program: she has served as instructor for LIS 648 Technology in the School Media Center.
